We thought this was worthy of bringing to your attention. TREC Travel Medicine have organised a very interesting conference on travel medicine to which Glasgow University Wilderness Medicine Society has been offered a 50% student discount.
This will appeal to anyone who is interested in Wilderness Medicine, is organising a charity or elective trip to a developing country, or is considering volunteering in a developing country.
Shelia Hall, who has organised this conference, is a leading figure in travel medicine in the West of Scotland, with many years experience in the field. There will be quite a mix of speakers including Neil Dignon who leads a lot of expedition and charity groups.
The event is to be held in the Glasgow Concert Hall – Strathclyde Suite – on Friday 14th March. 9am – 4pm.Cost is £120 but with a 50% discount for students = £60. If any students would like to apply "on-line" they should choose the "pay by cheque" option and return the form with their cheque marked "student rate."
